Keanu Reeves Lands In Hong Kong Sunday For The Hong Kong International Film Festival

Keanu Reeves landed in Hong Kong over the attend to attend a screening of his new documentary on film-making, “Side By Side” Sunday. It was part of the Hong Kong International Film Festival.

“The Matrix” actor produced the film, which covers the digital revolution on the movie industry as a science, an art and how it affects society. Reeves explores how technology is increasingly pushing its way into the industry as digital means become easier and more cost effective to use. Because more and more directors turn away from traditional film as the medium to record their stories, the shift has an enormous effect on the film-making process, which the average moviegoer may not be able to pinpoint.

Reeves addressed an audience of several hundred at the screening, speaking about his directorial debut in “Man of Tai Chi,” the martial-arts movie he recently began shooting in China.
