Italian automaker Ferrari has dabbled in the manufacturing of elegant, high-quality timepieces for years. However, the luxury automotive brand has had a shaky relationship with many manufacturers. The move to join with Movado will allow Ferrari to offer products to the general public, as the watch maker is well-known for affordable luxury timepieces. Unlike Ferrari’s vehicles, which have been for the rich and elite, their accessories will become affordable to low-to-moderate income collectors and the general public.
That won’t mean the pieces will be cheap. Even with the new collection, watches are expected to cost approximately $2,000 USD (1,500 Euros).
