Bachelors Raise Over $50,000 for Shelter from the Storm

This past Saturday on March 17, was the 4th annual Desert Charity Bachelor Auction and also, the start of Fashion Week El Paso. This annual event helped to raise more than $50,000 to benefit Shelter from the Storm.

During this the auction, the most eligible bachelors on the Coachella Valley were bid on by over 350 people. All that could make it out to such a charitable event held under a big white tent on El Paseo.

All the bachelors were given packages and each had a theme. For instance, Pampering Yourself for a Year, Fitness packages, Vegas Getaways, Hollywood Makeovers, including trips to Key West, New York and much more.

What makes the 4th annual Desert Charity Bachelor Auction so unique is its all for a good cause. All proceeds benefit Shelter from the Storm, one of the most comprehensive providers of programs for victims of domestic violence. For Coachella Valley, Shelter from the Storm is the only shelter-based provider that provides for emergency services.
