Rose Wylie, who found her calling at the age of 4 with the help of a green paint box and coloring book, is finally having an exhibit display her work for the first time in Moscow at the Regina Gallery.

The exhibit titled “Rosemount” runs until March 10 and gives the viewer a change to journey through the Englad of Wylie’s lifetime. It touches on themes such as World War II, obesity in Great Britain and the celebrity culture.

Wylie’s long road to recognition began with giving up art to raise a family. In her 40s, she studied at the Royal School of Art in London, and it wasn’t until 2008 that she began receiving attention for her work until 2008 for her “Wear What You Like” exhibit in London’s Transition Gallery.
