Rolex Tops List Of Brits’ Favorite Brands

As reported by Reuters, when close to 2,000 patrons in the U.K. were asked to name their top brands, Swiss watch maker and David Beckham adorner Rolex came out on top, followed by Coca-Cola and search king Google.

Past No. 1 Mercedes-Benz held on to the fourth position. BBC came in a No. 5, making it six years in a row the media giant managed to pop up in the survey’s top five. Backing up England’s status as a country of car nuts, Jaguar and BMW joined Mercedes in the top 10. Apple and Microsoft — previously in the top 10 — they dropped to 18 and 45 respectively. Apple was wedged between grocer Marks & Spencer and beer maker Guinness. Microsoft lingered behind Nescafe and Youtube.

Facebook made its entrance on the list, grabbing No. 32 while Twitter hovered at 134, which was just a few spots behind Amazon.com and Johnnie Walker but somewhat ahead of Vaseline and Vicks.

The bottom dwellers on the vast list of 500 brands included such household names as “potato” chip maker Pringles, CNN and Disney Channel. All three of those were beaten out by sandal company Birkenstock.
