Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week: W Hotels Fashion Next Designer Bibhu Mohapatra Makes his F/W 2012 Runway Debut

Marking the designer’s first-ever runway show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Bibhu Mohapatra’s Asian-inspired F/W 2012 collection was widely received, and equipped with structured shoulders, fur, geometric shapes, ombre, embroidery and feather embellishments.

The designer first emerged onto the fashion circuit when he teamed with W Hotel’s Fashion Next program, and since then, has found due recognition amongst his peers and industry insiders. The packed runway show included guests such as W Hotel’s Global Fashion Director Jenne Lombardo and actress Glenn Close.

Backstage at the show, models cozied up in plush W Hotels robes and celebrated the designer’s standout debut.
