Haute Time: Bovet Debuts Tourbillon Ottanta Due

Last week at SIHH in Geneva, Bovet revealed its latest timepiece, the Tourbillon Ottanta Due, a special collaboration between Bovet and the Pininfarina design House.

Bovet first collaborated them in 2010, marking the 80th anniversary of the Italian icon by developing and manufacturing the award winning the Tourbillon Ottanta. Adding to the collection it was followed by the Chronographe Cambiano in 2011 and now the the Tourbillon Ottanta Due.

While the Tourbillon Ottanta Due features many of the he same characteristic as the two other watches in the collection- the bow design, rubber strap and two flat bezels- this second tourbillion is a stunning enhancement. Developed by watchmakers of DIMIER 1738, the tourbillon carriage has been extended to a the diameter of 13.50mm and is located at 6 o’clock. Its revolutions rated to sixty seconds carrying the seconds-hand and completing the indications of hours, minutes and seven-day power reserve on this first face of the timepiece.
