Valentines Day marks the opening of the first W hotel in France. The swanky hotel features just 91 guestrooms and 22 suites, befitting a more European boutique-style hotel rather than the sprawling W hotels that have opened lately. The rooms will have high ceilings, luxurious carpeting, gorgeous city views of the city of love and an intriguing backlit digital wall that weaves throughout the entire hotel. The settings for the wall can be adjusted depending on the season, event, time of day and location within the hotel.
Much different than the American custom of privacy, each room has an open plan with the merely a mirror partition separating the bathroom from the bedroom. The pink champagne will help guests prepare for a night on the town. If you’re thinking about booking a room, you might want to think again. Rates start at 420 euros a night (about $520), and that doesn’t even include Wi-Fi.
