Sneak Peek of Pera Soho Opening Saturday

Many may know Pera Mediterranean Brasserie located in Midtown. Well, the owner is set to open a new location over the weekend, named Pera Soho which will be Downtown. What makes the Soho outpost a bit different from the Midtown location is that the main focus is all about bringing in all local eaters that would love to experience some traditional Mediterranean hospitality, with Chef Ryan Skeen cooking some of his favorite creations, such as a whole-lamb dinner, a specialty dinner that can be ordered 24 hours in advance. Skeen who currently works alongside Michael Psilakis of Fish Tag, is in process of making a few changes to the Midtown location menu, but won’t go into details. For now, many will have the opportunity to taste some of Skeen’s delicious creations, when Pera Soho opens on Saturday at 54 Thompson St.

Pera Soho is very spacious, with large murals on the walls, especially a distinct painting of a Turkish Trolley that happens to give the restaurant its name, that runs through the neighborhood, a sectioned off area with a bar in the front, ideal for private parties. If that’s not enough to make you want to take a tour, the establishment also has a massive patio filled with alfresco tables just perfect for those warm summer nights and heat lamps for those cooler days, but if you’re looking to host an event Pera Soho has a rooftop that accommodates up to 40 guests.
