Haute Drinks: Happy Hour at The Modern Honolulu

You nailed that deadline or missed that important phone call.

So head to the uber-chic Modern Honolulu for its happy hour starting Dec. 2 at the Pool Bar or Lobby Bar (shown above).

Watch the sunset from the teak-decked Pool Bar with specials on cocktails such as the Dragon Berry Hai — Bacardi Dragonberry rum, strawberries, fresh lie and ginger — or Coco Breeze — Cruzan Coconut run, fresh mint, berries and pineapple over crushed ice — running from 4 to 7 p.m. daily.

And if you can’t get down there that early, the luxe Lobby Bar hosts its own cocktail hour from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays with specials on such signature drinks as Caribbean Fizz — a tropical libation of Cruzan Coconut rum and guava served fizzy — or Agent Rouge — a twist on the classic Vesper with Russian Standard Imperial vodka, gin and Lillet Rouge.

The luxurious boutique hotel will be unveiling its signature MODERN cocktail soon.
