The Zenvo ST-1 50s, one of the most exclusive and expensive cars cars in the world was on display Wednesday night at the swanky restaurant The Liberty House in Jersey City. The $1.8 million sports car was shown off at a special cocktail reception hosted by Melissa Gorga of The Real Housewives Of New Jersey which featured a special performance by singer Jullian James singing his single “My Sweet Radio.”

The three models in the U.S. will be sold exclusively by president Bobby Khan of Emporio Motor Group, located at 911 Montgomery St. in Jersey City.

“The Tonight Show” host Jay Leno holds the distinction of being the first celebrity to test drive the car. He took it for a spin last week in the Mojave Desert.

Research and development for the Zenvo prototype began in 2004. Production of the first model, the ST1, started in 2009. The $1.8 million machine features keyless entry, satellite navigation, power telescoping steering wheel and leather racing seats that are adjusted electronically. Tests by The Motor Report returned a top speed of 233 mph and, according to Kahn, the supercar accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds.
