Miami Heat’s James, Wade and Bosh Head Overseas

The Miami Heat’s big three are reportedly packing their bags and heading out on a six-city international tour during what would have been the first two weeks of the NBA season.

Along with a host of other NBA superstars, Lebron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh have reportedly been planning to play exhibition games in Puerto Rico, London, Macau and Australia between October 30 and November 9. Plans are still being worked out, but ESPN reports that Calvin Darden, an Atlanta businessman, has been planning the tour for the past three months and Wade and Bosh have already officially signed on.

In addition to Miami’s basketball stars, the tour would also include Kobe Bryant, Derrick Rose, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, Amare Stoudemire, Rajon Rondo, Blake Griffin, Russell Westbrook, Carlos Boozer, Paul Pierce, and Kevin Love. Kevin Durant, Tyson Chandler, and Kevin Garnett might also join.

Despite the NBA talks still at a standstill, the players are clearly eager to play. An international tour like the one planned would be an opportunity for the players to get back on the court and also showcase their skills around the world. The tour would consist of six games and though nothing is finalized yet, the games could potentially even be broadcast in the U.S.
