Italy’s Favourite Restaurant Group To Open First Stand Alone London Site I n Canary Wharf

Fans of Italian food can start celebrating! Obikà Mozarella Bar – the brainchild of Bulgari Hotels and Resorts Executive Vice President, Silvio Ursini – is to launch a new restaurant in Canary Wharf next month, bringing the world’s best mozzarella to one of London’s most lively districts.

To date there are q0 Obikà restaurants in Italy, in addition to five across cities such as Istanbul, Tokyo, Toronto, LA and New York.

The London outpost of Obikà – whose name derives from the word Obiccà, which means “here it is” in Neapolitan dialect – will be located in the glass clad West Wintergarden and consist of a 98-cover bar and restaurant.

Aside from mozzarella, the menu will feature a range of accompaniments such as Prosciutto Crudo di Parma DOP, Bresaola della Valtellina (cured beef) and Isle of Ewe smoked salmon, antipasti, freshly baked pizza and a number of salads and hot dishes including Schiaffoni di Gragnano (pasta with Mozzarella di Bufala Campana and tomato sauce). An Italian-style aperitivo will be served early evening. La dolce vita indeed …
