Hyatt has opened their 307-room Andaz property in Shanghai, China.
Hyatt has launched its Andaz brand in China with the opening of their Andaz Shanghai. With 307 guest rooms, the Andaz Shanghai opened to the public on October 18. The opening marks the entry of the Andaz brand into Asia and the Andaz Shanghai features rooms that over look the historical Xintiandi district, mixed media artwork designed to evoke the old and new sides of the area with LED lighting, sensors, video projections and recycled materials.
The rooms also feature an eclectic theme with changeable mood lighting and high-tech glowing sinks and baths juxtaposed against rock face walls. There are three restaurant-bars onsite, including the Andaz lounger, the Éclair patisserie and the four-level Shanghainese restaurant Hai Pai. To round out the hotel, a Spa offering traditional Chinese medicine and modern wellness techniques and a Garden Studio are on their way.
Currently, Andaz manages properties in London, New York City, San Diego and West Hollywood.
