Haute Event: Deadmau5 Brings His ‘Ghosts N Stuff’ Theme to XS Nightclub

Holly Madison and Angel Porrino made it out to see deadmau5 at XS Nightclub.

Deadmau5 made his return to Las Vegas last night with an explosive set that filled XS Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas with his signature pulsing sounds alongside celebrity revelers. The “Ghosts N Stuff” theme filled the venue as cocktail servers dressed as the walking dead and enormous one-of-a-kind video screens surrounding the stage flashed spooky images. Even deadmau5 played into the holiday spirit sporting a tacky Hawaiian shirt and accessorized the ensemble with a bucket hat, fly swatter and pipe creating an outrageous tourist look.

The night began with a special pre-shift pep talk from deadmau5 to rev up more than 100 costumed staff members for what would be an incredible evening ahead. Doors opening shortly after 9 p.m. and thousands of party-goers poured into the mega club.

DJ Le Castle Vania opened the Halloween celebration with a set that shook the venue to its core ensuring was all party-goers were amped for the set ahead. Within two hours, XS reached its capacity and the crowd was ready for deadmau5 to take the stage.

Shortly before 1 a.m., Le Castle Vania led thousands of excited fans in a countdown to welcome the electronic music visionary to the stage. As the crowd hit one, smoke erupted from stage and the mouse head appeared. Deadmau5 kicked off his highly anticipated set wearing his signature headpiece, this evening’s creation resembling cheese with missing holes in the ears, and began to drop tracks.

After he crafted a few tracks on the fly, Sofia “Sofi” Toufa joined him onstage to lend her intoxicating vocals to the set as he transitioned into the song “Sofi Needs a Ladder.” Supporting her performance from the stage was boyfriend and Mötley Crüe member Tommy Lee who is also a longtime friend to deadmau5. Toufa dressed as the Queen of Hearts, and Lee dressed as a devil were seen on stage throughout the evening, tweeting out cute pictures to their many followers.

The tantalizing performance was bound to have a celebrity presence as Holly Madison and Angel Porrino were capturing the set from the exclusive on-stage table. The starlets from “Holly’s World” were dressed to the nines. Madison wore a sexy Minnie Mouse costume with glowing ears, two-piece polka dot ensemble, and bright yellow Louboutin pumps. Also joining the festivities was Phil Ivey, a notable American professional poker player who has won eight World Series of Poker bracelets.

As the evening turned into morning, there was no end in sight to deadmau5’s unforgettable set. His fluid tracks continued and finally, the song of the hour and inspiration behind the party’s theme, “Ghosts N Stuff,” pumped through the speakers as a cloud of confetti came cascading from the ceiling. From pool deck to dance floor, not a body was still as party-goers became immersed in the chart topping hit.
