Madinat Jumeirah Launches the Quay Health Club
Last week, Madinat Jumeirah launched the new Quay Healthclub following a major refurbishment which includes state-of- the-art Technogym equipment, a high altitude training suite and a children’s training facility and climbing wall. The gym was officially re-opened to hotel guests and members with a special ribbon cutting and presentation.
Guests of honor included Sheikh Marwan Al Maktoum, German Tour De France athletes Jan Ullrich and Olaf Pollack, Davis Cup Captain Carl-Uwe Steeb, International cyclist Jane Westley, Ex World Number two Squash Champion Danielle Hart, extreme adventurist Adrian Hayes and bronze champion cyclist Roy Nasr.
Set within the luxurious surroundings of Mina Al Salam overlooking the shimmering water ways of Madinat Jumeirah, The Quay Healthclub’s extensive gymnasium and state-of-the-art equipment provides an ideal environment for fitness and health enthusiasts to keep in shape, with personalised and challenging fitness programmes delivered by highly trained and professional staff.
The facilities include a 25 metre temperature-controlled indoor lap pool; an aerobics Studio equipped with 35 state-of-the-art body bikes which host regular RPM™ classes; two squash courts regularly used as venues for international squash matches; a weight training zone; high tech interactive training equipment with touch-screen internet
technology and luxury changing room facilities with steam room and saunas.
