It was a bewitching Sunday night at Sugar Factory’s flagship location inside Paris Las Vegas when “Harry Potter” superstar Rupert Grint hosted a meet and greet at the sweet spot for hundreds of fans. Grint, best known for portraying the auburn-haired wizard Ron Weasley in the phenomenal worldwide blockbuster series, had swarms of fans lining up to meet him. By late afternoon, the line of lovingly referred “Potterheads” was wrapped around Sugar Factory’s store and stretched well down the famous Las Vegas Boulevard.
The event began promptly at 5 p.m. and when fans caught a glimpse of the star’s famous shaggy red hair, they went wild. Grint made his way onto the red carpet, dressed casually in jeans and a printed black T-shirt as fans scrambled to get a picture of him and shouted in unison, “Rupert! Rupert! Rupert!”
After a high-energy red carpet strut, the actor began the meet and greet and autograph signing inside the famous candy store. He sat comfortably in a plush chair behind a sprawling white table as he met his adoring fans one-by-one, signed photos and posters and took pictures. Grint’s fans were overjoyed to meet him and to be inside the most illustrious sweet shop in the world.
After a fun-filled evening of meeting and greeting his amazing fans, Grint and his personal group of friends sat down at a private area inside Sugar Factory’s indulgent Chocolate Lounge to enjoy appetizers of macaroni and cheese pops, bruschetta, artichoke dip, and various sandwiches and salads.
Also in the store for the event was Las Vegas’ favorite showgirl and reality star Holly Madison, who was interviewing Grint for an “Extra” entertainment news segment. Madison enjoyed a sugary pick-me-up from a famous Sugar Factory Couture Pop and jokingly referred to the lollipop as her version of a magic wand, in honor of the wizarding meet and greet.
