First Annual Los Angeles Food & Wine Event

More than 100 celebrity chefs, celebrities and foodies will descend on Los Anglees October 13-16 for the first annual Los Angeles Food & Wine.

Los Angeles Food & Wine takes place at L.A. LIVE but will also mix in other events throughout the city. The event will include cooking demos, lunches, dinner, after-hour events and a portion of the proceeds benefit the Los Angeles Chapter of Meals on Wheels.

So far, Thomas Keller, Daniel Boulud, Wolfgang Puck, Nancy Silverton, Masaharu Morimoto, Tyler Florence, Michael Chiarello, Michael Mina, Sang Yoon, David Myers, Rory Herrmann, Walter Manzke, Sherry Yard, Josiah Citrin, David Myers and Ludo Lefebvre have signed on to participate.

The event comes from hospitality entrepreneurs and founders of Pebble Beach Food & Wine, Robert Weakley and David Alan Bernahl of Coastal Luxury Management. The culinary festival will gather all-star talent from both the entertainment and culinary platforms to celebrate the very best in food and drink culture throughout Los Angeles. The event will also feature tastings from over 300 premier international wines.

Robert Weakley said, “LAFW will capture both the incredible epicurean caliber found in Los Angeles and the celebrity achieved by today’s food and wine leaders. Pairing these talents with the world of Hollywood is a rare combination. Wolfgang Puck adds, “It has been my pleasure and honor to host the American Wine & Food Festival for nearly 30 years, benefiting the Los Angeles Chapters of Meals on Wheels, one of the city’s most important hunger-relief organizations. I couldn’t be happier to continue this great organization and evolve the festival by ushering in this fresh, new concept.”

World-renowned chef Thomas Keller said, “I am proud to take part in the first Los Angeles Food & Wine Festival this coming October.
