A Chicago Speakeasy Crawl

At a lose end as to what to do this weekend? Sign up for ‘A Chicago Speakeasy crawl’, brought to you by the Candlelight Club – a clandestine pop-up cocktail bar in a secret London venue, completely lit by candles.

The party will take place across two nights (September 9 and 10) and pay homage to Chicago in the roaring twenties. Quaff favourite Chicago cocktails from the era and nosh on hot dogs and hamburgers before dancing off any calories consumed to the music of Louis Armstrong (who spent most of the 1920s in Chicago) played by the Basin Street Brawlers band. Later on in the evening, resident DJ MC Fruity will fire up the dance floor with an inspired selection of vintage tunes.

As ever the precise location of the Candlelight Club’s central London venue is a secret, revealed to ticket holders a couple of days before the party but, in the words of Clayton Hartley:  “one way or another, come nightfall everyone finds their way to the Candlelight Club”.
