The Box Nightclub Opens in LA; Celebrity Gets the Boot

The Los Angeles opening of The Box nightclub took place Friday evening with numerous celebrities in attendance including Jon Hamm, Lindsay Lohan, Chelsea Handler and Shia LaBeouf. Read on to find out which star got escorted out of the party and why!

During the opening part of the new LA nightclub The Box, hosted by Belvedere Red, “Transformers” star Shia LaBeouf was escorted out of the party after exchanging harsh words with a friend of rocker Marilyn Manson. According to reports, after words were exchanged, the friend lunged at LaBeouf. He then lunged back and the alleged altercation was broken up by security who stepped in “before any punches were thrown.” A source at the part told The New York Post that two security guards subsequently led LaBeouf out with his hands held behind his head. Visibly upset by what was happening, LaBeouf’s girlfriend, Karolyn Pho, who was also at the party, apparently followed her boyfriend out of the club.

Despite several witnesses reported the incident, LaBeouf’s rep denies the allegations and said, “He actually left the club early as planned. He went to see one of the bands performing in the showcase and left after they finished; exiting through a crowded room was apparently misinterpreted. No altercation occurred.
