Summer sees the annual repertory season at the award winning Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre and the big highlight this year, looks set to be Crazy For You. Even if musicals aren’t your bag, you’ll struggle not to fall in love with George and Ira Gershwin’s glorious musical comedy.
Reuniting the multi award winning creative team from 2009’s Hello Dolly!, including director Timothy Sheader, choreographer Stephen Mear and designer Peter McKintosh, Crazy for You is chock full of classic songs such as Someone To Watch Over Me, I Got Rhythm, Embraceable You and Nice Work If You Can Get It.
Broadway veteran and Sex And The City actor, Sean Palmer and West End stalwart Clare Foster, star and we mean star as lovers Bobby and Polly while excellent support is provided by David Burt and Kim Medcalf (Sam Mitchell in Eastenders), as Bela Zangler and Irene Roth respectively.
All of the foot tapping action takes place against a backdrop of twinkling trees, in the stunning surroundings of one of London’s favourite Royal Parks.
