Tazmania Ballroom in Hong Kong Earns Prestigious ‘Best International Bar’ Award

Tazmania Ballroom in Hong Kong won Best International Bar at the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards in the UK, a fitting first birthday present for the venue. Ten other hot new bars were honored for 2011, including some from the United States, Mexico, Japan, Brazil, Belgium and Switzerland.

Famed designer Tom Dixon is responsible for the décor and the execution of nightclub impresario Gilbert Yeung’s concept.  The club is a crossover between a1920s American speakeasy and a private British Gentleman’s club.

Tazmania Ballroom has attracted numerous celebrity guests including Hugh Grant, Adam Levine of Maroon 5, Coco Lee, James Valentine and Harvey Weinstein.  The nightclub has also been featured in numerous design magazines.
