On July 15 the Porsche Design Group welcomed Singapore into its lap of luxury opening Asia’s first Porsche Design Store. Asia’s wealthy masses need no longer worry about traveling to Europe or the United States for the luxurious Porsche Design brand. Located in The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands shopping mall, the store is also the first to boast Porsche Design’s new concept.

“The new shop design emphasizes our philosophy of ‘Iconic Style’ and allows customers to experience it first hand,” CEO of the Porsche Design Group Dr. Juergen Gessler said. “From a sales point of view, we have also reached a milestone: the new concept allows even better use of space and at the same time offers the customers plenty of space to spend time looking around.”

The new store offers an extended fashion collection for both men and women, a separate viewing area for watch displays and a lounge that invites guests to take a break and relax. In addition the new design concept, which was put together by the Porsche Design Studio team and architects at Blocher Blocher Partners, addresses the topic of sustainability by using lighting that represents the newest generation of LED technology meant to reduce energy consumption. Porsche Design Stores worldwide will implement the changes beginning in January 2012.
