Haute Event: Former UNLV Star Shawn Marion Celebrates the Dallas Maverick’s NBA Championship at Lavo

Dallas Maverick's star Shawn Marion signs a basketball on the red carpet at Lavo.

Shawn Marion of the Dallas Mavericks celebrated his team’s NBA Championship win at Lavo at the Palazzo Saturday night. Before heading into the dining room, the former UNLV star autographed a basketball on the red carpet. His mother, family and 20 friends joined him in the restaurant as they dined on signature dishes sent from the chef. Marion stood at the head of the table to say a few words and toast to his victory.

The party moved from dining room to nightclub as they took over a table next to the deejay booth. Marion stood on the couch, surrounded by family and friends, as he was surprised with a championship trophy cake adorned with his jersey brought out to “The Champ Is Here” while the crowd cheered. As the party continued, he jumped into the booth with DJ Reach to take over the turntables.

Also dining at Lavo was Nick Lachey, wrapping up a bachelor party weekend with brother Drew, Justin Jefree and Matt Leinart. Their table of 25 was seated right next to Shawn Marion’s, giving the two groups ample time to chat. Leinart, quarterback for the Houston Texans, took time to congratulate fellow Texas athlete Marion on the great season. Upstairs in the nightclub the group danced to the sounds of DJ Reach while laughing and joking all night.

Jareb Dauplaise from MTV’s “The Hard Times of RJ Berger” was also spotted at Lavo.

Max Adler of “Glee” dined at Tao at the Venetian, finishing the day at the nightclub taking in the sounds of Avicii.

Craig Robinson from “The Office” was spotted having dinner at Tao before stopping by Marquee Nightclub at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
