After a kick-off pasta-cutting ceremony on Monday, doors to the Philadelphia outpost of Vittorio Assaf and Fabio Granato’s Serafina franchise are officially opened. Located in the prime Rittenhouse Square area in the heart of Philadelphia, the casual yet upbeat restaurant features the highest quality ingredients and imported Italian specialties. Vittorio Assaf, Serafina co-owner says, “We are excited to bring our Northern Italian cuisine and comfortable atmosphere to Philadelphia-Rittenhouse Square’s prestigious residential, shopping, and dining destinations, which is quickly becoming its own bustling city.”
The menu includes 20 varieties of pizza, homemade pastas and fresh grilled meats, while an on-site bakery offers fresh baked goods, coffees, juices and a selection of grab-and-go salads and sandwiches. Italian artist Michela Martello covered the interior walls of the two-floor space with beautiful frescos, making guests feel as if they are eating inside an authentic Italian trattoria. The opening comes just in time for summer, with floor-to-ceiling windows and outdoor seating available in the sidewalk cafe as well as the second floor.
