Haute Opening: To Russia with Love

With the opening of the new W St. Petersburg – the first W Hotel in Russia – history meets modern luxury. Take the miXup bar on the rooftop, where you can dance the night away while watching the Neva River flowing into the Gulf of Finland. Or, maybe enjoy Russia’s first Bliss Spa (with indoor pool) and then indulge at their miX restaurant inspired by Alain Ducasse, or cool off at Wet, just minutes from the historical Winter Palace.

The hotel’s location is just steps from the city’s landmarks like the magical St. Isaac Cathedral, the Winter Palace, which houses the famed Hermitage Museum, and the wide Neva River giving St. Petersburg its charm.

Designers Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel Partners say they were inspired by the architectural ancestry of the city and jewel-tones of the famous Fabergé Egg. Check out the lobby, with its lux colors and restrained elegance.

Open now, the luxury W has 137 rooms with 10 suites and one Extreme Wow Suite (W’s take on the traditional Presidential Suite.)
