Haute Events: Miss USA Contestants Stop By Sugar Factory and Matt Goss

The Miss USA contestants visited Matt Goss' show at Caesars Palace Saturday night.

The 2011 Miss USA contestants, as well as the reigning Miss USA Rima Fakih stopped into Sugar Factory at Paris Las Vegas over the weekend. The 51 contestants plus the current crown-holder browsed the retail store, ooh-ing and ahh-ing over the famous Couture Pops as well as the endless selection of candy the flagship location of the confectionary emporium has to offer.

After shopping, the contestants enjoyed a fabulous dinner prepared by Sugar Factory American Brasserie’s executive chefs Michael Sellman and Bryan Ogden. The ladies dined on creamy artichoke dip, bruschetta, mixed greens with balsamic vinaigrette, Mediterranean vegetarian pasta, pan-roasted salmon with a lemon-herb vinaigrette and grilled chicken breast with a sesame-soy glaze.

No dinner would be complete without a fabulous dessert — especially at a place like Sugar Factory. The ladies got a sweet surprise inside the  Chocolate Lounge as executive pastry chef Michael Gillet, prepared a special treat of milk and dark chocolate fondues paired with dipping treats such as freshly made brownies, pound cake, red velvet cake, gummy bears, strawberries and bananas to dip in the decadent chocolate.

Saturday night, Reigning Miss USA Rima Fakih and some of the 2011 Miss USA contestants attended the Matt Goss show in the Gossy Room at Caesars Palace. Before the show, Goss met all of the girls and posed for photographs with them.
