From June 14–18, Design Miami/Basel returns to Switzerland for it’s sixth consecutive year as a leading exhibition, featuring only the most high-end and cutting edge presentations in design. Including Sponsor and Design Satellite Exhibitions as well as Design Talks, the cultural programming is a collaboration of preeminent designers and galleries.

The innovative design fair got its start in Miami when Design Basel director Ambra Medda and Principle of Design Craig Robins came together with the vision of constructing the most provocative and exciting design fair to date. After the enormous success of the first Design Miami showcase in 2005, the pair made the decision to organize Design Miami/Basel the very next year. The permanent establishment of the Miami and Basel locations will continue to alternate showings every six months, with the upcoming Design Miami fair set for early December.

At next week’s Design Miami/Basel, galleries and designers will showcase their most note-worthy pieces from their collections, in addition to designs created for the fair alone. Presentations are expected by reputable sources from all throughout Europe, the Unites States and Asia while guests are given the opportunity to speak with notable architects, artists, designers and collectors. With more returning and first-time contributors than ever before, the Basel exhibit will continue its objective to give viewers something they have never seen before.
