Celebrity Living: Sylvester Stallone’s Lake Sherwood Waterfront Retreat For Sale at $4.9 Million
Where does one of the world’s biggest action stars go to escape? With all the excitement Sylvester Stallone has seen over his action-packed lifetime, it is hardly surprising that his sprawling waterfront Lake Sherwood property – now for sale – is the ultimate retreat. Situated on 1.79 acres, the estate is nestled away amidst shady trees and boasts over 500 feet of lake frontage. Just under an hour away from the hustle and bustle of L.A., Stallone’s waterfront paradise is now on the market for $4,995,000.
According to Zillow, the 3,600-square-foot home sits within 77,972 square feet that make up a charming and private premier waterfront property. The main house, built in 1946, contains three bedrooms, three full baths, two fireplaces, and a balcony primed for enjoying the sweeping views of the lake and mountains. Although having recently undergone a clean-out, the home still maintains its original charm and character.
In addition to the main house, the property also boasts a guest home, caretaker’s cottage, and – to take advantage of the stellar lake access – a boathouse and private dock. Purchased by Stallone in 2008 for $4.85 million, the action star is bidding a farewell to the gorgeous property, as well as to the adjacent lot, which he has also listed for sale at $1.65 million.
