Terranea Resort Featured on CW’s Shedding for the Wedding
Los Angeles Hautel Terranea Resort was featured on the recent CW TV series Shedding for the Wedding, created by the producers of the hit show Biggest Loser. The eight-week show, shot on site at the beautiful oceanfront resort, concluded with the couple who lost the greatest amount of weight winning an eco-friendly dream wedding at Terranea.
Terranea was a natural choice for the fitness-minded show. The scenic 102-acre property and word-class spa and fitness facilities lure hundreds of guests each day. The 5,000-square-foot ocean view Fitness & Wellness Center has state-of-the-art Life Fitness cardiovascular and weight training equipment, a movement studio and an outdoor oceanfront yoga terrace. The resort’s spa pool is great for swimming laps, while the surrounding Pacific is ideal for kayaking, paddle boarding, or scuba diving.
The resort has reigned as a favorite wedding destination among couples, including The Bachelor’s Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney. The picturesque bluffs, secluded lawns and terraces overlooking romantic California beach as well as special event rooms with ocean views make it so.
Recently named one of the best eco-friendly hotels in L.A. by CBSLosAngeles.com, the resort is also known for its environmental responsibility. Some of its eco practices include its use of organic fertilizers, pools treated with salt water instead of chlorine, a full on-site recycling program, use of biodegradable or reusable products whenever possible such as coffee cups and water bottles, and organic and seasonal produce and products on all restaurant menus.
