Met Gala Roundup

The Met Costume Institute Gala, commonly referred to as the “East Coast Oscars” took place last night.  The star-studded fashion fete brought every stunner out of the woodwork, although four in particular stood out to me.

I love reporting after the night of a red carpet, so here are my picks!

Gisele Bundchen: The Brazilian supermodel hardly blended in with the red carpet.  Although she was adorned in an Alexander McQueen ruby gown, she managed to stand out quite prominently.  It didn’t hurt her cause that Tom Brady was right by her side.  Oh, and her hair…that side part and loose waves completed the look (along with her Van Cleef jewels).

Taylor Swift: I’m not ususally a TS fan, but this nude lace J. Mendel petal gown really caught my eye.  So much so, that I could practically visualize it hanging in my fictitious gown closet (hey, one day!).  It was designed by none other than her date, Gilles Mendel. Lucky lucky lady!

Kate Hudson: This free-spirited, soon to be second time momma, looked like a Greek goddess in her strapless Stella McCartney gown.  Her burgeoning belly was the best accessory, but her  Casadei pumps and Fred Leighton jewels completed the golden look.

Diane Kruger: She can do no wrong, fashion-wise.  Kruger channeled Old Hollywood Glamour as she sizzled in her Jason Wu gown.  It took 500 labor intensive hours to make the hand embroidered floral top.  The slit up to there did her leggy gams justice.
