Haute Toys: The Anticipated EC145 Mercedes-Benz Style Luxury Helicopter Unveiled in Geneva

The world has been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the luxurious Mercedes-Benz helicopter since its concept was revealed at last year’s European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva. At this year’s EBACE, developers sated the public’s anticipation as the finished twin-engine copter was debuted.

Inspired by Mercedes-Benz’s famously sophisticated vehicles, the multi-purpose helicopter can seat up to eight people and has been primed to accommodate everything from a quick weekend getaway to a luxe mode of transportation for discerning clients.

With plush interiors designed by Mercedes-Benz Advanced Design in Como, Italy, the aerial counterpart has upheld the elegance and sophistication of the brand’s celebrated automobiles. The sleek interior features lush materials, rich wood paneling, and spacious multi-function boxes with various equipment options. Ambient cabin lighting can be adjusted to varied colors and brightness settings similarly to the S and E-Class autos to make for a passenger’s seamless transfer from car to helicopter.

The interior also boasts seats that are fixed to rails to easily be rearranged into a variety of different seating arrangements, or removed altogether to accommodate luggage or to provide for more room.  Of the stunning new machine, Head of Design at Mercedes-Benz Prof. h.c. Dr. Gorden Wagener says, “We are very pleased to have realized the first product of ‘Mercedes-Benz Style’ with Eurocopter. The interior design of the EC145 ‘Mercedes-Benz Style’ helicopter represents the classic passion of the Mercedes-Benz design language and fulfills the very highest expectations in terms of elegance, luxury and comfort.”
