Haute Event: Fourth Annual St. Regis International Cup

This past Saturday, May, 21, steeds and studs battled in a polo test match for the fourth annual St. Regis International Cup held at the U.K.’s Cowdray Park Polo Club. For the first time, St. Regis paired up with Jaeger-LeCoultre, the Official Timekeeper of Cowdray Park Polo Club, which is celebrating 80 years of its successful Reverso timepiece. Jaeger-LeCoultre’s brand ambassador, Eduardo Novillo Astrada alongside polo prince, Nacho Figueras took their South America team, sponsored by Jaeger-LeCoultre, to a solid triumph over Audi England with a score of 9 goals to 6.5.

A swarm of VIP guests including Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, the Duchess of Cambridge’s brother James Middleton, and Jodie Kidd arm in arm with her polo-player boyfriend Andreas Vianini all caroused in the hospitality marquee sipping on tea and Bloody Mary cocktails, the hotel’s signature libation.

The match was followed by a glamorous gala dinner hosted by Jaeger-LeCoultre where a live auction raised over $75,000 to support The James Wentworth Stanley Memorial Fund. The organization focuses on the mental health issues and brings awareness to the sings linked to suicide through research and outreach programs.
