Haute Event: Audemars Piguet Opens New Store in Beijing
With China set to become its biggest market, Audemars Piguet celebrated the launch of the brand’s new boutique in Beijing’s prestigious Shin Kong Place on May 6, which included a preview of the watchmaker’s latest collections.
The opening heralded the growing partnership between Audemars Piguet and Europe Watch Company, one of China’s leading watch retailers. Members of the brand’s senior management, CEO Philippe Merk and CEO of Hong Kong and China David Von Gunten, were present at the grand opening ceremony along with renowned Asian celebrity Hu Jun, who sported a Royal Oak Offshore Chrono.
Consistent with the design of other Audemars Piguet stores across the world, the dedicated sales areas offer key brand collections including Royal Oak, Royal Oak Offshore, Jules Audemars and Millenary displayed in tailor-made showcases. An intimate lounge is also available for the privacy of VIP clients.
