Fourth Annual Golfin’ in the Desert Tournament Benefitting Title 1 Schools

The Fourth Annual Golfin’ in the Desert Tournament gets swinging this Saturday, May 7, and there’s still time to register. Presented by the Desert Botanical Garden, all proceeds from the event will benefit Title 1 schools, and participants will enjoy the opportunity to have some fun and win great prizes.

Following a four-person scramble format, the tournament is scheduled to take place at ASU’s Karsten Golf Course in Tempe. The player’s fee of $100 includes the greens fee, golf cart use, lunch, two raffle tickets, range balls, goody bag full of cool stuff and awards program.

Registration begins at the course at 6:30 a.m., so arrive early and take your time hitting some free range balls before the shotgun starting time at 7:15 a.m. After some fun time on the fairway, players will gather at the Karsten Patio Grill post-tournament for a tasty lunch and the prizes, raffle and silent auctions.

Proceeds from the tournament will assist Title 1 schools who do not have sufficient funding to participate in the Desert Botanical Garden’s field trip program. Funds raised through previous Golfin’ in the Desert Tournaments have enabled more than 12,000 students each year to attend these programs.

Visit the Desert Botanical Garden website for further details, sponsorship information, and to register.
