The Southside and Northside rivalry once again heats up in the kitchen on Friday, June 24th as Four Seasons Hotel Chicago Executive Chef Kevin Hickey – serving up for the White Sox – and avid Cubs Fan Chef Koren Grieveson of avec present a culinary field of dreams in the Fifth Annual Crosstown Culinary Classic hosted by Seasons restaurant to benefit Common Threads.

The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with a Ballpark Reception featuring Hickey and Grieveson’s creative interpretations of baseball park snacks. Guests can also bid on items such as autographed sports memorabilia, culinary experiences and getaways at the event’s silent auction.

At 7:30 p.m., Hickey and Grieveson will serve up a creative multi-course menu as ABC 7 Sports Anchor Jim Rose provides the plate-by-plate commentary.  The dinner culminates with the Bleacher Sweets Reception featuring desserts like  “Caramel Corn”, “Funnel Cakes”, “Valrhona Fudgesicles”, “Champagne and Beer Floats” and more. Throughout the evening guests will enjoy beer and wine provided by Goose Island and Shafer wines.

Common Threads, a nonprofit organization, teaches low-income children to cook wholesome and affordable meals.  The organization reaches nearly 1,000 children, ages 8-12, annually across 18 sites in Chicago, two sites in Los Angeles, four in Miami, and four in Washington, D.C.
