Zenith Watches Names Antoine Cina New High-Flying Ambassador

Antoine Cina has already embarked on a journey to the top of the planet. He is slated to scale the treacherous milieu of the Seven Summits, the highest peaks on all seven continents in less than a month’s time. The experienced climber with a pioneering soul has already claimed such achievements as Kilimanjaro (5,895 m) and Mount McKinley (6,194 m), as well a previous Everest climb back in 2009.

Since its inception in the world of complicated movements, Zenith has accompanied explorers of all walks seeking to extend beyond the bounds of prevailing limits. Manufacture Zenith stationed in Le Locle, Switzerland, has a tradition of partnering with individuals who illustrate an audacious spirit, be it land, air, or sea.

Quite fittingly, Zenith has recently pronounced Antoine Cina their new Ambassador. The watchmaker equipped their bold representative with El Primero Stratos Flyback, a watch encased in Alchron, a high-tech, lightweight alloy specifically developed for the aeronautical industry and used for automobile racing. Its magnetic permeability is 50 times lower than that of steel making ideal for such high altitudes and remote location with a 210 HV Vickers hardness measurement.

Cina’s trek will stretch an estimated twenty-five days to reach the summit. His epic pilgrimage to Mount Everest will lead him up to the face of the beast by way of the Tibetan side, also the route he chose to take in 2009.  Bearing two star-emblazoned Zenith flags, Cina will leave one at the base camp which will take his team a fortnight to reach. The other will be staked at the summit before he takes flight from the highest point on planet Earth with the aid of a paraglider, which will also bear Zenith’s insignia star logo.

Journalist Nathalie Lamoureux from the French weekly Le Point will chronicle the extreme stunt. She will post her reports on www.lepoint.fr.
