At age six she received a fateful gift from her beloved father, jewelry designer Luca Buccellati, a hand-crafted personalized carryall made of calfskin. This ignited a love affair of handbags, and along with her Grandmother’s admirable collection, prompted her to create her own line. In May 2009, the Laura Buccellati Collection was born.
