Haute Event: Tommy Hilfiger Speaks at Fourth Annual “Night of Opportunity” Awards Dinner

The Opportunity Network is acharitable organization that seeks to fortify the link between young underprivileged high-achievers and successful futures by providing access to jobs, professional networks, and higher education. On Monday night,fashion mogul and American icon Tommy Hilfiger, was honored as a keynote speaker at thefourth annual celebrity-laced fundraiser,which collected a record $800,000.

The Opportunity Network’s Fourth Annual “Night of Opportunity” sold-out gala brought together some of the most wealthy and powerful New Yorkers, namely Vernon Jordan Jr., advisor to former President Bill Clinton and Senior Managing Director of Lazard Freres& Co., AlanPatricof, Founder of Greycroft LLC, Fox News Personality and Anchor, Ainsley Earhardt, Fox News Correspondent, Gigi Stone, Bloomberg TV Correspondent, Jack Martin, President, ICBC Broadcast Holdings; Jack Sullivan, Chairman and CEO, Broadway Video; Marva Smalls, Executive Vice President, Global Inclusion Strategy and Chief of Staff, Nickelodeon, MTV Networks, and so many others.

Mohamed Bah, a refugee from war-torn Sierra Leone and Yazmine Nichols, a brave young woman who overcame emotional and behavioral issues, both received recognition for their outstanding accomplishments and shared their struggles with the more than 450 attendees.

As a major contributor to the cause, Tommy Hilfigerdelivered an inspiring speech to a packed house at downtown’s Capitale. The Tommy Hilfiger Corporate Foundation,established in 2005 has supported the Opportunity Network for several years.
