On March 25, The Setai South Beach was hopping with world renowned DJs such as Bob Sinclair, Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike, and several other spectacular DJs at the “Miami Sunset Party” hosted by Radio FG USA and Michael Capponi. Being such a fantastic event, the only thing that made it better was that Ultra Music Festival was just right down the way.
Originating in musically-inclined France, Radio FG is now one of the largest radio departments in the whole of Europe, but it’s not like any other radio network; instead it is also a “lifestyle” network. Completely dedicated to the electronic music genre, Radio FG has now obtained 16 FM radio stations, 8 web radios, TV programs, videos, CD compilations (3 million CDs sold under the label “Dance Floor FG”), mega concerts of up to 500,000 people, and syndication of programming all over the world. So it is no surprise the America wanted a piece of the pie, and collaborated with the European affiliates to begin the U.S. edition. In celebration of this, Radio FG USA is launching many different parties all over the nation for the electric music lovers, and eventually made their way to Miami, Florida. And what better time to throw such a bash than during Ultra?
With a substantial percentage of ticket purchases going to Haitian relief efforts, Radio FG USA made to sure to create an event that no one would want to leave by doing what they do best; hiring some of the best international DJs of electric fusion. Other DJs who attended included AlexGaudino, EDX, JéromeIsmaAe, Patric La Funk &Trisan Garner, and Joachim Garraud (AKA “Invader”).
The intimate event gave Ultra goers a chance to relax from their immense activity with the vivacious, yet strangely calming, sounds of the electric notes pulsating through the speakers. Miami’s only hope is that they come back next year to do it all over again.
