Haute Event: Square Grouper Movie Premiere After Party at Cafeina
Last Friday marked for a special night of movies and parties. The Miami premiere of Square Grouper: The Godfathers of Ganja which discussed pot smuggling in South Florida during the ’70s, took center stage at the O Cinema by the Miami-based media studio rakontur.
Founded by Billy Corben and Alfred Spellman, rakontur brought other talked about films like Cocaine Cowboys and The U. Although the movie drew in some major crowds last weekend, the party didn’t stop there.
Rakontur hosted the after party at Cafeina Wynwood Lounge where more than 500 guests danced to music from DJ duo Ess & Emm and sipped on cocktails suitably themed, Mary Jane Mojito and Liquid Cocaine. Someone was even lucky enough to nab a free copy of Square Grouper before it hit the stands.
For those of you who weren’t lucky enough to attend the screening over the weekend, which ended in selling out 8 of 12 shows, you can pick up your copy starting today.
