Haute Event: La Martina Fashion Show at The Raleigh as Part of Miami Beach Polo World Cup Weekend

The game of Polo has often been described as not just being about the game, but more about the lifestyle, which is filled with luxury, fashion and opulent parties, where rubbing elbows with the social elite is considered to be the norm. Therefore when the iconic Raleigh Hotel was chosen to host the La Martina charity dinner and fashion show as part of the seventh annual AMG Miami Beach Polo World Cup ‘off the field’ events on Saturday, April 23, it was considered to be more than fitting for the occasion.

Under a star-filled sky, set around the edges of the legendary tropical oasis pool of The Raleigh Hotel, guests were treated to a three-course culinary delight made possible from the hotel’s recently revamped restaurant The Royal. The restaurant is John Delucie’s newest project, following the success of The Lion and The Tavern of New York City.

Attendees included Polo VIPs such as President of The Polo Life LLC and ACT Productions, Bruce Orosz, and International Beach Polo Association Alex Webbe, along with TV Host John Walsh of Americas Most Wanted, Celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito and business mogul/producer Russell Simmons, to name a few.

After guests were wined and dined, they were entertained by an extraordinary fashion show unveiling the desirable and fashion forward attire from La Martina’s newest collection. La Martina, the famous Argentine Polo brand, is renowned for setting the tone in fashion for the most sophisticated of polo players, fans, and trendsetters alike as well as being the official supplier of uniforms for both the women’s and men’s team at the Miami Beach Polo World Cup.

Proceeds from the La Martina charity dinner and Fashion show were donated to the honorable organization of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami (BBBS) who continue to make positive life changes and impacts to the lives of the younger generation who lack the presence of a role model to set them on the right path in life.
