After several pleas and countless proposals to join the airport retail market, Louis Vuitton has come to a landmark decision–Shilla Duty Free in Seoul, Korea’s Airstar Avenue at Incheon International Airport will soon be honored with the illustrious French label.
“Louis Vuitton’s opening of a store in Incheon International Airport is being considered as a monumental achievement in the global tourism industry,” said Shilla.
The new store, opening its doors later this year, will claim the largest space in the airport and likely attract swarms of consumers from neighboring Asian countries, igniting a trickle effect of revenues for other proximate stores including Herms and Chanel. The iconic brand projects first year sales to meet the $100 million mark.
