Haute Fashion: Shop Boston’s Looc Boutique for Spring Hottest Fashions
Springtime in Boston isn’t quite like springtime in Paris, but don’t tell that to Looc Boutique. Located on Union Park Street in the historic South End, Looc (French slang for “hip” or “chic;” coincidentally, the boutique’s name is also “cool” spelled backwards) offers modern yet iconic duds perfect for any fashionable woman on the go.

The clean, pure white-washed store makes shopping more than just a hobby. Looc is artistically accessorized with adventure-driven items, such as bicycles, tennis rackets, old suitcases, and vintage nautical pieces. A white chandelier hangs over a neutral-and-cream toned sitting area by the white-curtained dressing rooms. Looc is known for its hip and pretty window dressings, reminiscent of another, more romantic era.
Designers include Isabel Marant, Rag & Bone, Christina Lehr, Jennifer Ouellette, Tila March, and Adriana Unarreal. Currently, Looc is showcasing crisp linen white shorts, tops with nautical stripes, and beautifully draped dresses. Due to their persistence to be at the forefront of the Boston fashion scene, Looc also offers a variety of untraditional shoes, including this Isabel Marant high-top sneaker, which debuted in a New York shoot in August:
Looc has been featured in Lucky, Boston Magazine, Daily Candy, and The Boston Globe’s “Best of the New” list. Looc Boutique is located at 12 Union Park Street, between Washington Street and Shawmut Avenue. 617.357.5330.
