Dori’s World: Oscar Week in Los Angeles

For my first night in town, Jason Pomeranc and I headed to Paris Hilton’s birthday party, which was held at Beacher’s Madhouse at the Roosevelt. She had a really cute video of her family and friends from when she was a kid along with a circus act, dancers, and cotton candy. Paris and Nicky Hilton were there with their boyfriends, David Katzenberg and Cy Waits, along with their parents, Kathy and Rick Hilton, Dennis Basso, Nikki Haskell, Brandon Davis, Whitney Hilton, Carlos Lopez, Harry Morton, Justin Murdock, Cade Hudson, Anita Ko, and Laura Katzenberg.

Then it was off to Jay-Z and LeBron James’ “Two Kings” party at CAA that Noah Tepperberg threw. There were tons of celebs running around, and jam-packed with a bunch of basketball players!

The next night I headed to the Gagosian Gallery for the Ed Ruscha exhibit. Guests there included Alex von Furstenberg, Drew Barrymore, Andre Balazs, Chelsea Handler, Bettina Zilkha, John Waters, Adrien Brody, Richard Prince, Oliver Zahm, Vera Wang, Giancarlo Giammetti, Valentino Garavani, Jason Pomeranc, Ali Kay, Natasha Silver, Alexandra Von Furstenberg and Dax Miller, Stavros Niarchos, Nicolas Berggruen, Barbara Davis, Nadia Swarovski, PC Valmorbida and Dasha Zhukova.

Then we were off to Sunset Tower Hotel for the Domino Gala that Jen Goldman helped run to benefit the Seven Bar Foundation. Ali Larter, Mila Kunis, Mike De Luca, Kellan Lutz, Veronica Webb, Super Bowl MVP Aaron Rodgers, Kevin Spacey, Cuba Gooding Jr., Ben Silverman, Louise Roe, Hayden Panettiere, Ari Graynor, Bill Maher, Anthony Mackie, Jessica Szohr, Jesse Bradford, Paris and Nicky Hilton, and Emmanuelle Chriqui were all there.

Then we went to Soho House for the Hollywood Reporter Big 10 Party where we saw Amy Adams, Heather Graham, Patricia Arquette, and Milla Jovovich.

On Friday, Larry Gagosian had a luncheon at his house showing Richard Prince’s work. Fabiola Beracasa, Derek Blasberg, Barry Gesser, Aby Rosen, Tico Mugrabi, Katie Robbins and Simon Ruben, Jeff Bezos, and Desiree Gruber were all there along with art collectors from all over the world.

Later that evening , some people went to Ari Emanuel’s WME party in Brentwood, some to Bryan Lourd’s CAA party in Bel-Air, and some to Dennis Basso’s birthday party.

Then we were off to Nicolas Berggruen’s party at Chateau Marmont with Stavros Niarchos, Aby Rosen, Russell Simmons, Lady Victoria, Ozlem Onal, Lucas White, Nellee Hooper, Vikram Chatwal, Justin Murdock, Alex von Furstenberg, and hundreds of other guests.

And finally that night , we went to Ally Bernstein’s James Franco event at his new bar, Writer’s Room. There were a ton of celebs, but no photos were allowed in there.

The next day was the Diller/von Furstenberg BBQ. It is always such a great day! The who’s who of Hollywood along with their friends and families from all over the world come into town for the occasion. I had such a fabulous Saturday afternoon at their home.

That night, I headed to PRISM gallery on Sunset, where PC Valmorbida and Jared Najjar were hosting a new solo exhibit called “Inside Bleak” by the artist Clare Rojas. So many celebs were in attendance including Andy Valmorbida, Barry McGee, Jeffrey Deitch, Dasha Zhukova, Nadja Swarovski, Adrien Brody, Aaron Rose, Russell Simmons, Mary-Kate Olsen, Ashley Olsen, Michael Stipe, Klaus Biesenbach, Alex von Furstenberg, Alix Goldsmith, Siran Manoukian, Clifford Einstein, Doug Aitken, David Mushegain, David Morehouse, Danny Huston, Dori Cooperman, Fabiola Beracasa, Io Bottoms, James Van Der Beek, Jennifer Missoni, Stavros Niarchos, Lady Victoria Harvey, Paige Powell, Marco Perego, Rachel Zoe, Rosson Crow, Sean McPherson, Andrea Clemente, Rupert Adams, Stefan Simchowitz, Vivi Nevo, Shala Monroque, Taryn Manning, Vikram Chatwal and more!

The next stop was to Jane Mass‘ birthday party at Trousdale with Alexandra von Furstenberg, Sara Moritz, Jodi Guber, Emily Koch, Natasha Wagner, the Feldstein family, Guy Starkman, and Brent Bolthouse. The room was decorated with pink desserts! Very cool.

Like I always say – I love L.A., but I was happy to get back to NYC!
