Haute Event: Wildlife Rescue Center of the Hamptons Hosts Winter Soiree Celebration Honoring 10th Anniversary

The Wildlife Rescue Center of the Hamptons, a non-profit organization focusing on the rescue efforts of wild animals as a result of human invasion on their habitats, recently hosted a winter soiree celebration that honored their 10 anniversary on Tuesday, Feb. 1. The event, attended by honorary board members Beth Ostrosky Stern and Avis Richards, as well as The Good Wife and Law & Order Criminal Intent actor, Kevin Conway, celebrated the Rescue Center’s past ten years of wildlife rehabilitation efforts on the East End.

Guests gathered at the Volstead Restaurant and Lounge in New York for a cocktail reception that included an array of small bites and the night’s signature drink, The Wildlife Rescue Hurricane, while they gazed at screens placed around the restaurant depicting footage of successful wildlife rescues. Although the organization is well known for its summertime fundraisers, the exclusive event brightened up the cold New York winter as director Ginnie Frati delivered a heartfelt speech where she shared how the Center has expanded from just a few friends to an organization of more than 1,000 over the span of ten years. As the cocktail reception came to an end, guests were treated to care packages complete with complementary gifts from Alley ‘O Cookies, Angelo David Salon, Philippe by Philippe Chow, Madame Paulette, and Pureology, and a new edition of Thank You: 101 Ways to Practice Effortless Gratitude by Hatherleigh Press.
