Haute Event: Behind-the-Scenes at the W Hollywood’s Glam Glow Sports NBA All-Stars Event

A conglomerate of athletes and rappers can only mean one thing–NBA All Star Weekend! Last weekend, it hit Hollywood like a Mack truck; and I had the pleasure of standing in the press line of The Glam Glow Sports Lifestyle Event at Bliss Spa at the W Hollywood.

To my left was Mario, to my right, Jason McCourty and his brother Devin McCourty. As I rounded the corner with my plate of hors d’oeuvres and tequila sponsored beverage, I see Eva Pickford rocking a killer bomber jacket with a Blo Me button from event sponsor, Blo Blow Dry Bar-W Hollywood’s newest addition. It was a sea of acronyms, as NBA, NFL, and MMA flowed through the gifting suites, most of which were accompanied by their wives or arm candy for the day.

As the hours passed, the day crowd turned into the night crowd. It was confirmed that Kanye West was in the building as The Living Room Lounge was transformed into a stage for his upcoming performance at Black Mamba’s, aka Kobe Bryant, soiree. Mayhem ensued as mobs of attendees tried to bum rush the line at first sight of Mr. West. But security was tighter than my dress, so even a golden wrist band wouldn’t of gotten you in as the Fire Marshall crashed the party. We laughed, cried, and toasted the douche bags as the festivities raged on upstairs at Drai’s till 6 in the mornin’. Rumor has it that the Kardashians were even turned away at the door due to over capacity. Welcome to the good life.
