On Jan. 20, Neiman Marcus Coral Gables was the place for fashion, holding a clothing release of philanthropist and designer Donna Karan’s Spring 2011 Collection. Accompanied by Neiman Marcus Fashion Director, Ken Downing, Karan celebrated the 25th anniversary of the beloved legacy of her company with a full-length fashion show in the middle of Neiman Marcus, an exclusive presentation of the new items of her collection, and special “meet-and-greets” with her loyal clients to her answer all of their questions.
There are no small words to describe the sheer beauty of Donna Karan’s Spring collection, which is already making headway in the fashion industry throughout the country. With her utilization of soft, subtle colors, and long, flowing fabrics of tissue chiffons, liquid crepes, and satin metallic twills, Karan produces a creation of ravishing elegance, intertwined with pure and pleasant desert elements. All in all, the new Spring Collection is the right touch of weightless refinement and effortless style.
After being graced by the wonderful fashion show and piece previews, many of the 150 guests huddled in front of the runway to photograph and speak with Donna Karan, as the other guests enjoyed the elegant champagne reception, Thierry’s Catering lunch bites, and the superb pleasure of shopping and interacting with their fellow fashionistas. Many of the choice attendees included Sue Miller, Mari Alarcon, Alexia Echevarria, Annelies de Costa Gomez, Yolanda Berkowitz, Debra Scholl, Andria Holtz, Elena Baronoff, Terry Jove, Fernanda Cisneros, and Cheryl Stephenson, just to name a few.
25 years of beauty and fashion has surely not dwindled from the depths of Donna Karan’s creative eye and modern taste.
