Celebrities, artists and scene-makers turned out at the Village Pub in Woodside on Friday, Jan. 7, for a glamorous “black-and-white” gathering inspired by the life and times of American writer Truman Capote. The captivating and elegant event was sponsored by Spur Happenings, a private social club that curates experiences that eliminate the boundaries between art and audience. It was a private event by invitation only for 300 of Capote’s closest friends.
The guest list included the who’s who of New York. Shawn Cunningham, Lynn Cunningham, Doretta Bonner, Mitch Tuchman, Daren Tuchman, Jessica Lonergan, Mark Melbye, Christine Granucci, Chris Ellis, Kirsten Gieber, Patty Brown, Tim Stannard, Cyndi Popper, Cully Davis, Nick Slonek, Sandy Slonek, Kevin Johnson, Melinda Johnson, Michael Alafriz, Romina Ronquillo, Sheldon Greenberg, Ray McNaughton, Bridget Davis, Bob Falkenberg, Marty Korman, Rob Schumacher, Wendy Warren, John Jennings, Greg Golub, Kelly Golub, Veda Yonehiro, Bridget McNaughton, Kerri Stenson, Kirsten Gieber and Jessica Lonergan were among the VIP guests who attended the ball.
