Boyz II Men member and NBC’s “The Sing Off” judge Shawn Stockman took his family to see Disney’s “The Lion King” at Mandalay Bay last night. The four-time Grammy award winner took a break from his R&B group’s four-week long show at the Flamingo to enjoy an evening with the kings of the jungle.

After the show, Stockman took his family backstage where they had the opportunity to meet cast members Buyi Zama, who plays “Rafiki,” and Jelani Remy, who plays “Simba.” His children ran with excitement to hug Zama in her baboon shaman costume. The youngest child, Brooklyn, could not stop staring in awe at Remy’s elaborate Simba mask.

“The Lion King is their favorite,” said Stockman laughing. The ever-gracious Stockman said he was thrilled to be able to take his family to see the world’s number-one musical and hoped that this would not be the last time they visit Vegas’ “The Lion King” this year.
